Six (06) BJP leaders resigned in two days. (J&K)

Srinagar, August 06: Three more leaders of the Bhartiya Janta Party(BJP) from south Kashmir have resigned citing various reasons.

This comes after the killing of BJP sarpanch Sajad Ahmad Khanday in Vessu area of South Kashmir’s Qazigund.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said three more BJP leaders from South Kashmir announced to quit the party.
Reports said among the trio Shabir Ahmad Khan son of Gh Rasool Khan, Reyaz Ahmad Rather son of Ab Aziz Rather and Ab Khaliq Sheikh son of Mohammad Subhan Sheikh all residents of Narupora Watnard Tehsil Kokernag.

In a WhatsApp statement issued by a trio which reads “Today on 05/08/2020, we all are Resigned from BJP Party. And in the future, we have No Concern to any Political Party. We all are Requested to the People if any Mistake or any other Wrongful action happened by us in the past may kindly be forgive that will be your most kindness,”. the statement reads.

Pertinently, On the day when whole BJP party was celebrating the ist anniversary of the removal of Article 370, three-party workers from the southern region of Kashmir among Subzar Ahmad Paddar son of Abdul Satar Paddar Vice President Devsar constituency, Nisar Ahmad Wani son of Abdul Gani Wani of Hakradan Waripora Kund Constituency president and Ashiq Hussain Palla son of Mohammad Abdullah Palla of Waropora Kund had resigned from the party.
BJP General Secretary Ashok Koul had said that some people had joined the party for vested interest.
“Some people (who are resigning) had come from other parties and joined the BJP. They are seeking favours from officials. But officials are doing work for the welfare of people,” Koul told had said
