DIET Sopore Kick started Distribution of Learning cum Assessment material.
An academic initiative by School Education Department, to reach school going children both through online and offline mode has been strengthened in District Baramulla by DIET Sopore. The activities of catering to the needs of students on the directions of Principal Secretary School Education Department have been taken up by District Institute of Education and trainings Sopore in a time bound manner.
In this regards, learning material cum Assessment Tools from class 5th to 9th, after printing is being distributed free of cost, in all the Educational Zones of district through Complex Centres.
Today on 18-08-2020, the distribution of learning material cum Assessment tool was launched by DIET Sopore from Complex Head HS Sangrama, Zone Sopore, HSS Delina zone Singpora Kalan, HSS Nowpora Jagir Zone Wagoora and High School Tarzoo Zone Sopore. The students who made it to school were given the Hardcopies of material by Principal Mr. Syed Mohammad Amin Bukhrai in presence of Vice Principal Mr. Nazir Ahmad Reshi, Zonal Education officers of the concerned zones Sopore ,DIET faculty members , Complex Heads, ZRPS/CRPs and field teachers after fallowing SOPs regarding Covid 19. Moreover Masks were also distributed among the students in the Complex Head HSS Delina.
Principal DIET Sopore interacted with the field functionaries and students wherein he expressed the desire to facilitate and strengthen the academic initiatives launched by School Education Department. He also stressed upon teachers and students to upgrade and update their digital competences and professional skills to make best use of the available digital learning platforms. The teachers were also sensitized about the guidelines for the smooth conduct of this assessment. It was also revealed that there is immediate need to address the learning crises of students who are not connected due to non availability of smart phones and internet facilities as per the directions of Principal Secretary School Education Department and Director School Education Kashmir, Srinagar.
